Good writing means choosing the best words to convey your message. Hello and welcome to our coverage of Chelsea vs Porto tonight in the Champions League quarter-final second leg in Seville Chelsea vs Porto highlight.
After the first leg of the match in Spain, Thomas Tuchel’s team is up 2-0 after being away because of the coronavirus travel bans.
At the end of the first half last Wednesday, Mason Mount gave the Blues a 2-0 lead before Ben Chilwell put them in a commanding position.
It remains, however, an extremely dangerous proposition to face Porto, and Tuchel has advised his players they must be solely focused on the game at hand rather than dreaming of a recent semi-final against Real Madrid or Liverpool.
“If you win consecutive games of course you can win titles,” Tuchel said in his press conference yesterday. “Chelsea has the culture, history and mentality to do so. I am here to win games and titles. That is what I demand of myself, so why should we now say anything different?
“But there is no match other than the next game and no other obstacle to overcome than Porto tomorrow. We should not get lost in dreams and hopes and speeches and whatever. We are here to focus.”
N’Golo Kante looks likely to return to the starting XI with Mateo Kovacic an injury doubt but the Croatian’s absence leaves a lack of midfield back up as Billy Gilmour was once again left at home.
Kick-off is 8pm in London, 9pm in Seville. The game is live on BT Sport but you can follow all the action right here.
